I am 30’s something wife, mother, dreamer and try hard poet (with a little corporate slavery thrown in).
I take a keen interest in expressionism, sense of place and memory which are integral to my written words of verse, prose or poetry.
I am inspired by human conscious and history and believe that collaboration is vital in our survival. Feel free to connect and work with me.
Sharing the discoveries of this place, my island home, is simply what this blog is all about – a celebration of the places and people and how positively these stories shape this amazing Island.
I may do this through poetry, essays, musings, quotes, inspiring thoughts – whatever form is the best for the message.
My work has been published in Transportation Press, Oz Poetry Society, Elephant Journal and The Minds Journal.
I’m so glad our paths have crossed today. I feel like I’ve already learned from you and I look forward to reading more. Thank you!
Thank you! What lovely encouragement. I am loving your ideas about moments – I know exactly what you mean 🙂 Can’t wait to read more!
This makes me very happy!
Ditto 🙂
A poem a day? You can do it! I’d do one with you if you’d like! 🙂
Deal! Although I have never collaborated before so this will be a first for me 🙂
Poetry is just the beat of your heart. All your doing is whatever comes naturally. You’ll find your voice. It takes time. 🙂 I’m still finding mine. j_sparrows00@ymail.com Email me. 🙂
Definitely agree with the heart 🙂 I will be in touch 🙂
I read “the wall in the wilderness.” Please, keep writing. It’s a journey of joy. The hardest part is to let go of your literary child and allow her to experience the world.
I was almost 50 when I started writing books, and 63 when my first book was published (with a lot of help from my friends). My books may not sell well, and I’ll not be the next Asimov, but it was my dream to be a published author. I wanted to leave something tangible for my grandchildren to say, “My grandmother wrote this.”
Thank you for the lovely encouragement 🙂 It means a lot to me that you enjoy it 🙂 I know what you mean about leaving a legacy! It was my children that really motivated me to capture this. I am enjoying this journey so much!
Wow a published author – I’ll take a peek at your work..

Hi Mim. Wanted to check out your blog and thank you for following The Vision of Poets blog. I write every day, but I’m not sure that I could write a poem every day that I would want to post for the world to see. However, I’ve read every one of yours that you have posted and I love them. Good luck on your challenge.
Michael
Hello Michael 🙂 Thank you for visiting and for your kind comments 🙂 for me I need a goal to get me back in the poetry frame of mind. I thought even if people hate them I am learning from the experience and meeting other poets along the way which is broadening my outlook in life. I look forward to reading your work – especially after what I have read so far! Cheers Mim

Hello there, thank you for dropping by. I am enslaved by the corporate world and still dreaming of poetry. Best wishes for you
I send you a poetry muse. TS Eliot once worked in a bank. . .
I came by to have a peek and thank you for the follow of my blog. To my delight I found that you live in Tasmania! Whereabouts? When we moved to Australia ( I was but a rug rat) we lived in Hobart for the first few years. A move to the big island saw us relocate many times until I eventually put roots down in Adelaide and stayed put. I’m going to have a peek at your place now 🙂
Hello, yes I am in greater Hobart (in the Kingborough area). Really a pretty place. It can be very motivating 🙂 Adelaide is very pretty too. I loved the Great Ocean Road and all the wonderful wineries 🙂
We lived in Risdon Vale for a few years.
Nice to meet you Mim – I am a poet as well. Hope we could share poetic moments http://www.authorsden.com/poet99
Thanks Rana, I look forward to getting to know you 🙂
Same here…. It is always nice to see colorful people like you. Hope to see you soon
Hope you are well Mim!
Thanks you! Sorry I have been a bit absent. Looking for a new project I guess. How are things with you?
Mim, a lot has been happening. I have poems and stories up in the Queensland Art Gallery written in response to the art in the Australian collection. You can read the poems here until end of November online and in Gallery. https://www.qagoma.qld.gov.au/whats-on/exhibitions/australian-collection/quiet
Working on a few other things.
That is great! I see you on Facebook from time to time. Congratulations on an exquisite poetry collection 🙂
Thank you so much Mim. That means a great deal when fellow poets say that.
Always inspiring to see other poets work. If ever you want to collaborate… 🙂
Thanks Mim.
