Day Thirty-seven – The Cookhouse

A big heart;
smelling of cinnamon
simple sweetness
and duck delights,
roasting with thyme
and rosemary.

Sweet wine essence
in the galley,
a little cupcake
and flour on the floor.

Simple colours potted
on the table,
an heirloom of aromas
and whiff of nostalgia.

The cuisine illuminating
from a thousand hours
in a little room
four walls in all,
but it leaves me
the very happiest of all.
